Diana Hill Cherry was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on November 25, 1933, to Joseph W. and Madeline Hill Cherry.
She is survived by her beloved son, Mark Raymond Bukolt, his wife Kelly and her grandchildren, Taylor and Kenzie. She is also survived by her brother Joseph W. Cherry, sisters Sylvia C. Switzer, Paige C. Anderson and her brother-in-law, David E. Anderson, all of Winter Haven, Florida. Her brother, Bryan Cherry,
predeceased her. Also surviving her are beloved and devoted nieces, Kim Betancourt, Kristie Byrne, and nephew Paul Betancourt and their children.
Diana retired from the US Government. Early in her career she worked in the Office of the US Ambassador in Paris, France. Later in Washington, D.C., she worked with Foreign National Representatives in monitoring U.S. foreign aid.
She was known for her great devotion to her family and to her church and to her church family.
Friends from many places loved her for her great kindness and sensitivity to the needs of others.
