EDWARD C. BAZAN, JR., was called to his eternal rest on May 7, 2014. He was born November 11, 1946, in Gonzales, Texas, to Edward and Elvira (Cruz) Bazan, Sr. Eddie's family moved to San Marcos when he was young. He was a part of the 1966 Semi-finalist Rattler football team and was named All Central Texas that same year. Eddie received a scholarship to Blinn College. A year later he married Virginia Velasquez and began working in flooring, where he worked alongside his son for many years. During these years is when he became a grandfather to five beautiful grandsons. Eddie will always be remembered as "Stinky Paw-Paw" by his youngest grandson, Diego. His family will always be his greatest contribution to the world.
Eddie is preceded in death by his father Edward Bazan, Sr.; his brother Mike Bazan, Sr.; his son James Elliot Bazan; his granddaughter Victoria Bazan; and his nephew Daniel Bazan. He is survived by his mother Elvira Sloan; brothers Danny Bazan and his wife Orphalinda, Roland Bazan and his wife Amelia; his daughter Stephanie Bazan and her son Diego Edward Bazan; his daughter-in-law Laura Bazan and his grandsons Christopher Albarado, Bryan Albarado, James Elliot Bazan, Justin Edward Bazan; and several nieces and nephews.
