FERNANDO M. ZAMORA, SR., 72, a lifelong resident of San Marcos, Texas, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was born May 30, 1944, to Ricardo and Paz (Martinez) Zamora, Sr. Fernando attended school in San Marcos and began hard working at a young age. He is known to many as a "jack of all trades" because he was a skilled and hard worker who could build and repair anything. He was a master at painting and drywall. These are traits that Fernando has passed on to his sons. He was a subcontractor for most of his life and later worked with HEB construction. Fernando enjoyed life. He spent much time in his garden raising jalapenos, peppers, and watermelons which he was quick to share with those around him. He loved visits with his family and friends and he especially enjoyed being surrounded by them during Dallas Cowboy football games. Fernando liked playing the scratch off lottery tickets and visiting casinos. His true passion, however, was working on old cars and trucks. He will always be remembered for driving around in his classic blue and white '55 Chevy Bel Air which he kept in mint condition.
Fernando is preceded in death by his parents Ricardo and Paz Zamora, Sr.; his sisters Gloria Juarez, Margarita Espinoza; and his brothers Gilbert, Frank, and Joe Zamora. He is survived by his wife Emma Trinidad; his sons Andrew T. Zamora, and Fernando T. Zamora, Jr. and his wife Michelle; and his daughter Suzanne T. Zamora.
