Obituary

Glen Allen Wren, 67, of Wimberley died Monday, January 17th in San Marcos. Glen was a Band Director for over 36 years, leading several school bands in Texas to state championships. He also accumulated 21 years directing bands overseas. After retirement, he was a member of the Hill Country Community Band in Wimberley. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Ada Wren; son, Matthew Gunn of Chehalis, WA; brother, Chalmer Wren, Jr and his wife, Norma of Stanton, TX; brother, Bobby Wren and his wife, Lynn of Houston, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laura and Robert Finney of Eagle Lake, TX. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mona in 1985. A celebration of Glen's life will be held Friday, January 21st, 2:00 p.m. at the Thomason Funeral Home, Wimberley, TX (512) 847-2226.
