Jimmy Dale Carnline Sr., a much-loved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Dec. 28. He was 72 years old.
He is survived by Margaret Carnline, his wife of 47 years.
Jimmy was born April 15, 1939, in Elgin, Texas, to Arlie and Ellen Carnline.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Jimmy Carnline Jr.; daughter, Christine Herbert and son-in-law Jim Herbert; grandchildren Jason Carnline, Madison Carnline, Joshua Herbert and Nathaniel Herbert; and his brother, Billy Carnline.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four bothers and two sisters.
Jimmy and Margaret were long time Austin residents. They moved to Wimberley, Texas, in 2003. Jimmy was a well-respected carpenter who built homes around the Hill Country for over 50 years.
Jimmy served in U.S. Army's Eighth Infantry Division in Germany from 1962 to 1964.
A gathering for family and friends is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 7 at the Oldham-Cummings VFW Post 6441 on Jacobs Well Road (CR 182) in Wimberley.
