Wednesday, January 13, 2016 Thomas Earl Tise, Jr. (Earl) age 89 died while undergoing surgery to diagnose chest pains he was experiencing. He was born on February 26, 1926, in Houston, TX, to Earl and Rosalie (Weckter) Tise.
Earl spent his childhood in Sugar Land, TX. He joined the Navy and served as a radar man on the USS Saugas, serving several tours in the South Pacific. When he returned home he went to work on the pipeline. He learned the trade from his father-in-law, Lloyd "Mizzou" Farley. Earl has laid thousands of miles of pipelines, traversing 5 continents. He "retired" in 1985 but continued to consult until a week before he left us. His true joy was his family.
Earl was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be greatly missed. Earl is survived by his loving wife Paula Farley Tise of 67 years, son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Jane Tise, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Mike Sageman, daughter and son-in-law Katy and Jimmy Platt, daughter and son-in-law Molly and Chuck Morrison, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his beloved son, Doug Tise, parents Earl and Rosalie Tise, brother Buddy Tise and sister Patsy Tise.
Funeral services were held on January 16, 2016 at the Chapel in the Hills Church in Wimberley, TX and burial followed at the Wimberley Cemetery.
