T. Scott Schiller, a resident of San Marcos, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 60.
Born in San Antonio, Texas to Malvia O. Schiller and Eloise L. Schiller, Scott grew up in San Antonio and Staples, Texas before graduating from Judson High School in 1974. He then continued his education and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering. As a longtime resident of San Marcos, Scott worked as a lighting engineer for Widelight and Halovane Industries and most recently the Plant Services Director for Hays Nursing Home & Rehab Center. Scott was a lifetime hunter and fisherman and the man with 20 best friends.
Scott is survived by his parents, Malvia O. Schiller and Eloise L. Schiller; his sisters, Karen Schiller of Seattle, Washington and Melissa Vazquez and her husband Alex Vazquez of Los Angeles, California; as well as by his nephew, Joshua Vazquez and nieces, Indiana Vazquez and Shania Vazquez.
