Victoria Lynn Taylor, 59, of Wimberley, TX passed away on July 18th in New Braunfels, TX. She was born in San Angelo, TX on November 5, 1950 to Fred and Amy (Stolberg) Stroud. Vicki worked over 35 years as a speech therapist at Crockett Elementary School in San Marcos, TX. She dedicated her life to teaching children how to communicate. She also spent many years as a trick rider and animal trainer for rodeos and Wild West shows. Thousands of people have seen Taylor carrying the flag in the opening ceremony for the Wimberley rodeos and many other rodeos in Texas and beyond including the 2001 National Finals Opening Ceremony in Las Vegas, NV. Vicki had a way of spreading joy to everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steven Stroud. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Cleveland of Wimberley; her niece and USAF soldier in Germany, Jennifer Durgeat and her husband, Nicolas; and grand-nieces, Stevie Lynn, Ava Ryan and Victoria Raye. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 26th, 2:00 p.m. at the Cypress Creek Church, 211 Stillwater, Wimberley, TX. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Thomason Funeral Home, Wimberley, TX.
