Obituary

Virginia Lou Garrison Weber died on September 23, 2016 after declining health. She was born on April 12, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas to Caleb Thomas and Lula Mae Garrison. Virginia married James (Jim) William Weber in 1950, and his career in the Air Force took them both to North Africa, Florida, Maine, Indiana, Nebraska, though the majority of that career was in Texas. Virginia's greatest joy was providing a loving and supportive home, while Jim defended our country, both in peace and war.

In her later years, Virginia traveled and enjoyed friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband, Retired USAF Colonel James William Weber, and a sister, Tommy Nell West of Lufkin, TX, as well as five adult children: Lou Ann Harris of Long Valley, NJ; Jim Weber of Abilene TX; Scott Weber of Houston, TX; Tom Weber of Austin, TX; and John A. Weber of San Marcos, TX. Others in her family included a son-in-law, four daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested friends and family honor her memory with donations to either PAWS Shelter of Central Texas in Kyle, TX or First Presbyterian Church - San Marcos, TX. A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, September 27, at First Presbyterian Church in San Marcos, TX at 11:00 a.m. For more information, call Thomason Funeral Home at 512-396-2300.
