It is with great sadness that the family of William P. Blocker, III announces his passing on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the age of 69 years.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia and his children, Michael Rye, Andrea Bibby, her husband Brett and his grandchild, Ashlyn Rae.
He spent his life pursuing many ambitions and dreams in New York City, NY, Edmund, OK, Miami, FL and Houston, TX until settling in San Marcos, TX. His strong entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop a successful business in IT where he was well respected for his contributions to the Databus/PLB programming language and development of software. He had a great passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with the many students who attended his programming classes. The turn of the century brought he and Patricia to San Marcos and The UPS Store of San Marcos. His passion/joy for teaching and sharing knowledge was evident in his daily encounters with customers, TSU students and friends.
Bill thoroughly enjoyed water activities, especially scuba-diving, science fiction, and his mother's cheesecake; he dearly loved the people and community of San Marcos, from the Lions Club to the San Marcos River, where he found great peace and joy playing with his beloved dog, Obie.
At his request, Bill will be cremated and there will be no viewing. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date.
