Donna Maria Duran, age 41, was taken from us to her eternal father on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home in Martindale, TX. Donna was born in Lockhart, TX on May 17, 1976 to Ester Bizzell and Daniel Gonzales and was the middle child of three.
Donna graduated from Lockhart Pride in 1994. Donna met the love of her life Michael Anthony Duran II in 1996 and were married in 2001 and had just completed 21 years of togetherness. She was a stay at home mom that loved to do anything and everything for her children. Donna was a great cook and everyone loved her rice. She loved to watch endless hours of Golden Girls and called her mom 3 times a day just to see what she was up to that day.
Donna was preceded in death by her son Michael Anthony Duran III, maternal grandmother Anita Torres, paternal grandmother Carolina D. Gonzales, grandfather Porfirio Gonzales, aunt Gloria Juarez, and brother-in-law Mark Anthony Duran.
Donna leaves behind her husband Michael Anthony Duran II of 16 years of marriage. She was a proud mother of 5 beautiful children Mykal Danielle, Malachi Allen, Marcellus Alize, and Madyson Dre Duran. Other survivors include her mother Ester (Ben) Bizzell; father Daniel Gonzales; step-mother Sylvia Gonzales all of Lockhart, TX; sisters Rebecca (Victor) Garcia, Briana Bizzell of Lockhart, TX, Sandra (Ryan) Stolte of New Braunfels, TX; brothers Allen (Lesley) Gonzales of Kyle, TX, John Daniel (Rita) Gonzales, Robert B. Gonzales; maternal grandfather Ernest Torres all from Lockhart, TX; in-laws Mike and Irma Duran; and sister-in-law Crystal Pompa Duran all of Martindale, TX; 16 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 PM 9:00 PM with Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Old Ranch Road 12, San Marcos, TX. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX with the burial to follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, TX. Pallbearers will be Allen Gonzales, John Daniel Gonzales, Robert B. Gonzales, Xavier Espinosa, Victor Garcia, Jerry Parra, Joe Hernandez, and Michael Anthony Rizk.
