Boyd Edward “Buddy” Biggs, of San Marcos, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the age of 93. Buddy was born in Fletcher, Oklahoma, the youngest of 10 children, on February 4, 1924 to Benjamin D. and Vashti (Barton) Biggs. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from both the United States Navy and the United States Postal Service.

Buddy married Frankie Lee Biggs on December 16, 1944 and they cherished 60 years of marriage together prior to her passing in November of 2005. On January 31, 2009, Buddy married Nancy Biggs, and they were blessed with seven happy years of marriage prior to her passing in January of 2017.

He leaves behind his daughter, Patricia Randow; grandchildren Lisa Dowdy, Tammy Gramling (husband Keith), and Paul Randow (wife Sherri); great-grandchildren Michelle Gramling, Bailey Talbot (husband Tom), Garrett Gramling (fiancé Kristen), Ross Randow (wife Alix), Kendall Randow, Cameron Dowdy, and Ryan Dowdy; as well as great-great-grandchildren Allison and Grace Talbot and many nieces and nephews. Buddy is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ralph Randow, and grandson-in-law, Jonathan Dowdy.

Buddy was a quiet, gentle man who touched the lives of all who knew him. He loved working in his church, being with his family, traveling and playing golf.

His family will receive friends at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos this Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. The funeral service begins at 10:30 AM officiated by Rev. Dennis Spire. Interment will follow immediately after the service at San Marcos City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in San Marcos, TX or to the American Cancer Society.
