Troy Renard Jackson, a resident of San Marcos, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, at the age of 42. Troy was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on October 3rd, 1975 to Teresa Jackson and Clyde Stevens. Troy attended grade schools in San Marcos and graduated from San Marcos High School in 1994. Upon Graduation from High School Troy received a track scholarship and attended Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Tx. While at Prairie View Troy found his passion for cutting hair as a college student trying to make a living. At that point he left Prairie View to Attend Eureka Barber School in Corpus Christi, TX.
First and foremost, he was a loving Father, who loved his children dearly. Troy was outgoing (never met a stranger), ambitious and had a great sense of humor. He loved the finer things in life, every time you saw him he was well dressed in Ralph Lauren with creased jeans. Troy loved spending time with family, friends and his dogs. He loved sports (especially the San Antonio Spurs & Dallas Cowboys)! He liked to travel and eat at nice restaurants. Troy was a Master Barber who touched the lives of many as they sat in his chair for a master cut and a good laugh! Jackbone, as his friends would call him, was a true entrepreneur and left a legacy in San Marcos.
Troy was preceded in death by: his loving grandparents, Anthony and Effie Jackson and Sister Tessa House, Aunt Bobbie Brooks. He is survived by his Mother, Teresa Reese (Dennis), Daughter Kaitlyn Jackson, Son Jayden Jackson, Fiancé Christina Cordero, Brothers Tony Jackson and Timothy (Erica) aunts Denise Jackson and Carol Wheeler (Ray) Uncles Anthony Jackson Jr. and Michael Jackson (Felicia), Eugene Brooks, a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.
Troy’s family will receive friends at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos, Texas Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church in San Marcos, Texas. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
