Obituary for Franklin "Frank" Leroy Allen

Franklin Leroy Allen was born in Wimberley, Texas on July 16, 1939 and died in Wimberley, Texas on October 31, 2019, at the age of 80.

Frank liked to fish, hunt, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He was a talented man who could build or fix most anything. He was an electrician by trade and also designed and built several homes in Wimberley over the years.

Frank was a veteran, who served in the Air Force for 4 ½ years and was also in the National Guard.

Frank was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Leroy Allen, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Gold Allen - 2 sons, Reagan Allen and Garrett Allen and his wife Cari. 6 grandchildren – Sabra Carruthers; Garrett Allen and wife Julia; Heath Allen and wife Sarah; Riley Allen and wife Kelsey; Preslee Whitman and husband Jake and Hallee Allen.
10 great grandchildren – Noah and Madilynn Carruthers; Hayden and Josselyn Allen; Emersyn, Hays and Oakley Ann Allen; Maisyn and Laynee Allen; Sawyer Whitman.

He is also survived by 7 nephews and 6 nieces – Special nieces, Mary Ann Pendleton, Pat Finch, Kathy Bridges and family friend Robin Williams.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Wimberley, 15951 Winters Mill Pkwy, Wimberley, TX 78676. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM before the service. For more information, visit (512) 847-2226.
