Lynne Huston Administrative Assistant

Lynne Huston was born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised on an Iowa farm.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.  Her career took her first to become the advertising manager of Better Homes and Gardens Books and then to Wells Fargo Mortgage as their advertising manager. Once she neared her “golden years,” she tired of corporate politics and applied her skills to a Des Moines  funeral home, who wanted to expand.  With no experience in the funeral industry, Lynne dove in not knowing what to expect.  She was thrilled to find that the funeral service industry was the most rewarding by far of all her business experiences.  Lynne has a son living in Atlanta, Georgia and a daughter living in Austin, Texas. Some 10 years ago, when her daughter first found her way to Austin, Lynne soon followed to be close to her growing family.  Lynne moved to Wimberley  in 2010 and sees her granddaughters often. Lynne is passionate about golf and plays whenever she isn’t spending time with her furry family at home (two dogs and two cats) or working with the Thomason family.
