Elizabeth Dawn Teague, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2015 at her home at Longhorn Village Retirement Community in Austin, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Redfield, South Dakota, Dawn was the youngest daughter of Samuel and Mabel Garver. Dawn met Doran Teague, a Navy veteran, while attending The University of Nebraska. They were wed on June 7, 1947 and were married 63 years. They have three children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dawn worked as a librarian at the Bedford Hills, New York Community Library, Wayne State University and Concordia University, Austin.
A resident of the Wimberley community for 17 years, Dawn was an active member at The Chapel in the Hills Methodist Church and the Keep Wimberley Beautiful Society. Dawn enjoyed being a member of the Garden Club and co-wrote articles on gardening for the Wimberley View. Dawn also volunteered at the Wimberley Community Library.
Dawn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, friend and co-worker. Her passions were gardening, cooking, needlework and family. She will be dearly missed.
