On this day, Saturday, August 19, 2017, our brother James Alonzo, also known by some as James Bond 007 or El Indio James, passed away.
James was a good brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was always happy. I can’t really remember seeing him mad. He likes building things, going to the river, spending time with his friends, and just having a good time. He will be missed by many yet he lives on in our memories and in our hearts.
He has gone to join his mother, Maria Gallegos Juarez, and two brothers Jerry Alonzo, Jr. and George Alonzo from San Marcos. He leaves behind his fiancé, Kim Martin from Cedar Park; his dad, Jerry Alonzo, Sr.; three sisters Gloria Alonzo, Mary Jane Olmos and husband Blas Olmos, Jr., and Margie Alonzo, all from San Marcos; best friend/brother Jimmy Floyd; little vato James Jamal Porter; and half-brother Javier Alonzo. James also leaves behind his nephews George Alonzo and wife Cecilia Alonzo, Orlando Urbina and wife Roxana Urbina, Johnny Olmos, Joseph Olmos, and Zachery Tolley; nieces Crystal Iffla, Celena Nandin and husband Jorge Nandin, Jr., Oriana Cepeda and husband Hugo Cepeda, Jr., Tiffany Schwandt and husband Anthony Schwandt, all from San Marcos; as well as 4 great nephews and 6 great nieces.
James’ family will receive friends at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5:00 through 9:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary and prayer service at 7:00 PM.
